What Coho is
Coho is managed content infrastructure for businesses: a hosted content platform where content and its schema are versioned together. Teams branch, review, merge and release content, promote releases through their environments, and deliver them to websites and apps through a fast read API. You work with Coho through its Authoring and Runtime APIs, the coho command-line tool and the Python management SDK.
Coho is delivered online. Your account is ready as soon as you confirm your email address, and a paid plan starts as soon as you subscribe.

How usage is measured
- Delivery is counted per response from the Runtime API, at the response's size or 16 KB, whichever is larger.
- Content is the size of your published content as JSON, averaged over the month from daily measurements, so a one-off import doesn't count as a whole month.
- History. Every version of your content is kept. Up to five times your content's size is included, and beyond that it is billed per GB per month.
- Editors are the members of your account.
- Limits and alerts. Free limits are fixed: when a project reaches one, the action that would exceed it stops, and you're never charged. On paid plans, we email your admins at 80% and 100% of every allowance. A paying site is never taken down for going over an allowance, and you can set a hard spending cap if you want one.
Billing
- Paid plans are billed monthly through Stripe. Each invoice charges the base fee for the month ahead and the usage beyond your allowances in the month just ended.
- We accept major credit and debit cards, and other payment methods Stripe offers in your country, such as Link. Payment details are entered on Stripe's pages and never reach our servers. Stripe is certified to PCI DSS Level 1, the payment industry's highest security standard.
- Where we are required to, we add sales tax, VAT or GST, based on your billing address. Businesses with a valid VAT ID may be able to account for VAT themselves under the reverse charge.
- Prices belong to a plan version. A price change is a new version, and existing accounts keep theirs. If we ever need to move existing accounts to a new version, we will give at least 30 days' notice, as the Terms of Service describe.
- You can cancel at any time. The Refund and Cancellation Policy explains how canceling, refunds and failed payments work.
